I've been here a few times before and every time, the vibe is so uplifting and positive. From the beautiful artwork that is displayed everywhere, to the delicious veggie burger, to the upbeat music; this is one of my favorite places to hang out in downtown Augusta. It's tucked away on a side Street and is a quick walk from some historical landmarks in Augusta!
Ive never been so full! In the hour that my friend and I were there before closing, I was not only fed physically by the vegan food and coldpressed juice I enjoyed (Philly Style Cheez Stake and Sunshine Gingerade), I was also fed spirituality by the soulfulness of the artistic works that line the walls, mentally by the talented visionary artist Brother Baruti Tucker, and emotionally by the service I was given beyond the food and art. I felt the alignment and my heart was full and fluttered. I then proceeded to take a walk down Broad St. and was drawn to the Book Tavern. After making my selections from hundreds books , I proceeded to the register to pay and unassisted selected the most beautiful bookmark. Who was artist? The most talented Brother Baruti Tucker and it read, "There is nothing new under the sun, but there are new suns." -Octavia Butler. Indeed! This special place is a must! Go. Be. Do. See. Thank you to my beautiful friend, Diana T.C.., for suggesting it a few years ago.
I had an incredible experience here and highly recommend it, some great food and an inspiring atmosphere unlike any other. If your considering checking it out, just do it, you won't regret it.
I can’t explain just how good this is. I’m out of town from Boston visiting family in the area. I came here because of the reviews for good vegan food. Let it be known I am not a vegan but I happily prefer vegan or vegetarian items when they’re flavorful and prefer it to meat items. This was flavor dialed up to 11. We ordered 2 vegan burgers and 2 vegan Philly cheesesteaks specials, totaling $48. The food was so tasty that we didn’t even have time to take photos. I’d be a repeat customer if I lived here and would recommend this place in a heartbeat. We loved the art installation too and talking with the artist here. Great place to order food and have a good time
I was visiting from New Jersey and I found this restaurant and I was blown away by the vibe, the food, the hospitality and the owner and staff! I brought my cousins with me who aren’t vegan and because of the food and the love and care of the owners that goes into every aspect of this beautiful restaurant they actually were inspired to eat healthier. My 79 year old cousin and his 84 year old sister are now committed to eating a vegan diet! When I tell you it was a life changing experience for them, it truly was! God is working in this place!
I'm not vegan or vegetarian so I was a little nervous about trying the food. Needless to say I will most definitely be back. The atmosphere was amazing and the food even better. I had the spicy MOFO,kale salad, and coconut chilli. I literally ate it all. Nice size portions for the price. Highly recommend
This place is a delight. The customer service is excellent and they make great food. I had the Philly and it was loaded with all the veggies I was looking for, as well as a homemade seitan, and some tasty sauce and vegan cheese. The texture was great and I certainly wasn't disappointed. I also grabbed a green smoothie while I was here. It was refreshing and delicious after the heavier sandwich I wolfed down. The atmosphere is great. Chill. And the art decorating many of the walls is skillfully done and beautiful to look at.
Humanatree house is the perfect combination of art and atmosphere. The vibe was unapologetically black and the food was nothing short of amazing. I loved the paintings by Baruti and the Teas Truez provided are both delicious and nutritious. Can't wait to patronize them both!
The number one place in CSRA for great vegan food and high frequency and vibration. I’m not much of a vegan guy, however the mushroom burger with the mango smoothie had me feeling like a born again Christian. The environment is enchanted with music to soothe the soul. Step into something different with authentic creative art.
Very chill spot. I love all the artwork it’s so beautiful . The customer service is great they walk everyone’s orders to the table. That also speaks to the care and memory of the staff because they don’t use table numbers or anything just good ole brain power. I had a cold so I ordered hot tea and a smoothie,I can’t remember which kind but it was delicious.
